This 3 week robotics course will feature 3 weeks of learning-fun.
Two sessions of guided instruction working with robotics with Lego™, building robots that employ simple machines(pulley systems, levers, incline planes, gear systems...), sensors and computer code.
Then a challenge day, where students will use what they have learned to complete a couple of challenge builds, during the last session.
The robotics course is open to all parents who are part of the Red Deer Catholic home school group.
Time: December 4th 11 and 18th from 9:30 to 12:30
Age: From age 9 and up.
Kids love building blocks. Even more so when those blocks have motors, sensors, gears, pulleys. Students will build a variety of robot designs from Alligators to Giraffes and even more machines from fork lifts to cranes. After engineering their build they will then program their creation to move and react to input from sensors.

Our Staff
Sylvan Learning Centre is the largest private employer of BEd graduates in North America. Why, because anyone who can teach a classroom of 20-30 is going to do amazing things when they can tutor just 2-3 at the same table.
