Digital Art & design, for students grade 4 to 10.

(Want to try creating your own characters for video games, or animations.  Drawing on paper is great for print medium, but when you want what you create to be part of the world-wide-web, or gaming, then digital art is the way to go.  If you want to try a sample a digital art lesson, then take a look at our upcoming P.D. Students learn to use Inkscape™, a powerful free professional vector graphics editor for Linux, Windows and macOS.

Students who complete the digital art course may be interested in continuing on to either a game coding course or an animation course so they can put their creations into their own games or videos.

Students will learn concepts such as nodes, bezier curves, transparencies, gradients, RGB colours vs CMYK colours, working with layers, preparing art-work for cut out animation, preparing art-work for sprite animation, tracing photography,  and more.

 

Courses are held in Red Deer at various times.  Pick a time that suits you and repeat each week for 4 weeks in a month.
